Hapton Primary School
Refurbishment and remodel of a clay lump out building on the school site.
The works were carried out in a live school environment, requiring close liaison with staff, and effective management to ensure that the core delivery of education was not disrupted.
The works consisted of minor demolition within the building to allow for the revised internal layout. This included the construction of a multi-purpose WC, enabling greater flexibility in the use of the building whereby it can be opened up for external hire.
The works were carried out in the majority by trades and labour directly employed by NCL Contractors, who managed them to a successful conclusion on time and within budget
The new kitchen equipment installed was a ‘higher end’ purchase which reflected the ethos of the school and demonstrated the desire of the local authority to invest in high quality items.
These items are intended to not only serve the students well, but also increase the desirability and potential of the building as a commercial venue for third party letting.
